Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab’s “Cocktail Fork” Multiple Audio Source Separation demo enables attendees to separate out a single voice among many (like a cocktail party) to understand what is being spoken, emulating real-world environments that have multiple sound sources that our brains can separate and focus on. This assistive technology is designed for hearing impaired, speech and sound transcription, machine diagnosis, and more. 

Mitsubishi Electric’s Rulerless™ 3D measurement app for smartphones helps speed up support and relief for disaster victims. Rather than wait for insurance personnel to be dispatched to a disaster site, a person records 3D measurements of damage conditions and other factors with a LiDAR scanner built into their smartphone. Generated 3D images are sent via the cloud to be checked by a third party, working remotely. Recognized as a 2024 CES Innovation Award Honoree. 

Mitsubishi Electric’s Information Technology R&D Center displays a light source module with laser optical frequency control technology that will pave the way for space-based high-capacity laser optical communication networks.
